Oh wow! I have been considering Kobos myself. Is Clara the one with color e-ink? Is it more fun to read on than the B&W one?

I totally agree with your arguement about e-ink. Having owned a Kindle, the experience is simply unmatched. The iPad Mini or any normal LCD/OLED tablet wouldn’t be able to match that display experience - hence, the workarounds of matte screen protector and other device settings that would somewhat improve the reading experience. Have you tried Apple Books yet? If not, I would totally recommend it.
