I was gifted an M3 Pro MBP with 18GB RAM. Now of course, I couldn't complain about the base memory Mac to the one who gifted me but I was then convinced my everyone on the internet than in Apple Silicon terms, even 8GB RAM = 16GB RAM. So I forgot about it overtime and just used the Mac as it is. Of course, I had no hick ups with this Mac but now the whole Apple Intelligence news seems to be daunting.
If Apple is planning an LLM based Apple Intelligence rollout with the next macOS update, then even 16GB RAM is going to be filled to the brim. I hope I am wrong but I will wait till WWDC'25 to trade-in my Mac for a higher memory.
