I just saw an X post where an iPhone 13 user shared how a Safari's reader mode showed him a summary of the article he was reading. I have no doubts that some basic features in Apple Intelligence like Writing Tools, Notification & Reader Mode Summary and maybe even Photo Clean Up is possible on 6GB RAM iPhones easily.

But will Apple depack Apple Intelligence for its old users? That totally depends on them now. As for what I am seeing, Apple Intelligence hasn't been as successful even by Apple's own standards. So they could really make everyone happy by bringing some features to older models. I would love for them to test out new and advanced AI features on their newer models and then bring them to older models after a year by optimising it for lesser RAM devices. If they don't do it with iOS 19, they might never do it in the future. So all hopes on WWDC'25.

But that's just my wishful thinking. They could simply push users to upgrade by citing some memory or storage limitation. In that case, users with older iPhone models better save this story 😜
