As someone who has read so much about both the great Chattrapatis, I felt a bit underwhelmed my the film. Don’t get me wrong, the movie picks up really well in the second half and the last 30 minutes, as you pointed out, were pure goosebumps!

Yet I felt the build up in the first half lacked an emotional connect. Despite good performances, the screenplay wasn’t fairing well. A king that fought 127 battles in his lifetime, losing none of them, knew 16 languages well, contributed to literature while also trying to expand his naval forces which his father started - I feel all of this deserved more attention.

But I am glad, the story of Chhattrapati Shambhaji Maharaj ⚔️ finally made it to the mainstream media with this film. Great review, Gajanan!
