An absolute must, in my opinion. Most iPad users who buy the iPad along with an Apple Pencil use it for some kind of note-taking or digital art and matte screen is a must for these.

They could easily focus the iPad Air or even the iPad Mini as an essential note-taking device and introduce matte screen. Probably even have an e-ink display mode for Reading focus.
