07:10 a.m.: My Apple Watch wakes me up, but I realize it has been trying to do so for the last forty minutes since my alarm went off at 6:30 a.m. I have set the watch alarm to just vibrate on my wrist on weekends so I can recover my sleep debt for the week.

I quickly get into my running tee and shorts for my morning workout and head out with my iPod Classic — my running companion for the last three months.

07:20 a.m.: On most days, I just like to do a full 5K but these days I am letting my Apple Watch decide the workout routine for me. More specifically, the Gentler Streak app on my Apple Watch. It’s one Apple Watch app I would recommend to anyone, anytime. It tells me every morning how long I should run or if should I just call it a rest day.
